Avoiding Food Waste

• Sorting food according to a users personal scheme
makes it less likely to be forgotten about.

• Temperature zones are determined by the position of the module.

• Zones can be experienced and used intuitively.

• Separate modules are easier to clean (may harbor fewer germs).

• With a lower temperature flucts (say, from opening a large door) foods conserve for a longer period of time.

Conserving Energy

• Opening separate shelf compartments, leaves smaller space for warmth to enter.
• Using the folding hatches makes for an even quicker access time.
• Replacing hazardous PUR for insulation with silicate based Aerogel™ results in better a thermo-conductivity, reducing the overall need for cooling.

So, why not integrate a ‚cooler bag-pack‘!

… or you just take a part of your fridge to work.

The como cobo Story

Product Life Cycle

The interchangeability of the modules prevent the bulk disposal of the entire system.

• The compact design of conventional cooling elements also separates a large material volume from being treated as hazardous waste.

• The standardized dimensions of the product allows for a smooth integration into a service based economy.

• The compatability of each module facilitates encounters between users of the same product and increases the products resale value which leads to competition with collaborative structures (alternative marketplaces like Ebay) and incentivizes the producer to improve their service, warranties or might even create opportunities for buybacks.

• The possibility of buying the modules step by step over time
eases the burden of expenditure for less-wealthy users.

• It also creates a more needs-focused and open market to the low-income demographic.
